“Child of a Broken Family Now Thinks About Bringing Hope in Society”

Mst. Ria is a student of the Ashulia School of HOPE. She reads in play group. She was born on 3rd January, 2005 in village Santahar, Bogra. Her father’s name is Johirul Islam who left her and her mother and got married to another woman. Her father is not interested in looking after them.

Mst. Ria is the only daughter of her mother and father. Her mother’s name is Mst Rita. She went through a very tough situation after the birth of Ria. Rita used to do various kinds of households work. By this time Ria grew up and came to an age for education. Ashulia is a rural area but here there are many industries. That’s why Rita came to this area to seek work in industry two months ago. She found a job in Rahman Garments as a helper. By this time luckily our project’s survey team reached her house and she felt very interested to send her daughter to our school. Her thinking is only about Ria’s proper education. Rita dreams that her daughter will bring hope in society. There was a school near her house where the tuition fees were quite high so it was impossible for her to admit her daughter in that school. Mst. Rita is getting monthly 4000/= BDT (four thousand taka only) from her work place. This is really very hard to manage everything.

Ria stays with her mother in a tin shed rented house. Rita needs to pay monthly 1200/= BDT (twelve hundred taka). Ria’s health condition is average. Ria is now very encouraged and she wants to be a doctor. She wants to serve poor people free of charge.

Her class teacher Ms. Rupaly mentioned that Ria is very talented, punctual and attentive in studies. Ria’s understanding is very good. Besides teaching, the school provides lunch. Student doesn’t needs to buy any notebook, pencil, eraser and others instruments from outside. The student’s school uniform sets are also provided by the school free of cost. Ria needs only a way to ensure her proper education for future.

Ria is very happy to be a student of the Ashulia School of HOPE. Not only she but her mother also feels so. Her mother now can see dreams with her daughter. Her mother said that she doesn’t have any words to express her gratitude to the Ashulia School of HOPE. Rita and Ria both are encouraged. Mother and daughter both can now see dreams about a bright future with great hope.
